Position Summary:

Our Sales Administrator maintains relationships between the company and current customers. The Sales Administrator is not expected to cold call customers, but rather, handles orders from existing clients. The Sales Administrator takes and processes orders, maintains a line of communication between manufacturing and the client, and updates the eCommerce platform. The position is key to ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Administrator knows the details and purpose of every product and can effortlessly walk customers through their purchase. The Sales Administrator ensure everything is billed timely and properly. The Sales Administrator ensure all departments approved the orders and has a beat on the progress of an order at all stages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process sales order by phone and through the online store
  • Ensure every customer who places an order online is called for additional details
  • Talk regularly to established customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Take inbound calls from clients, locations and business partners
  • Provide excellent customer service with a professional demeanor and positive outlook
  • Upsell additional items to customers
  • Add, maintain and provide additional content on all items on the eCommerce store
  • Write item descriptions for online store, website, sales books and marketing materials
  • Know where sales order stand from drafting to production, production to shipping, shipping to installation
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, and Accounting to get sales orders approved
  • Communicate all updates, whether positive or negative, to the customer in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate with supervisor to understand departmental vision, timelines, and procedures
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management to prevent future error
  • Provide thoughtful and respectful feedback on products and desires from the customer
  • Provide support to the Sales Department by setting up travel and visits
  • Create sales reports regularly and present them to the Sales Director
  • Coordinate between all departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Exceptional spreadsheeting ability
  • Refined customer service and phone skills

  • Sound judgement and flexibility to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time
  • Flexibility to handle both routine and impromptu assignments with minimal supervision

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a sales position preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience required
  • Strong computer skills, including navigation of the internet

Computer Skills:

  • Experience with G Suite Console
  • Strong general computer skills
  • Ability to navigate internet with ease
  • Net Suite experience
  • eCommerce or web experience
  • Fishbowl Experience a plus

Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally requires lifting a box up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office environment while sitting at a desk for extended periods of time. This job requires this person to occasionally visit our warehouse location. Some travel may be expected to company locations for work.
