Location: Ogden, UT - Must be willing to relocate

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 (Depending on Experience)

Pay Status: Exempt

Position  Summary:

The Marketing Director is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for JAM Marketing and its businesses and brands within the organization, with the goal of attracting potential customers and retaining existing customers. The Marketing Director's day-to-day task include managing and coordinating the marketing and creative staff, leading market research efforts, distribute a high level of marketing efforts, all while improving products and services. The Marketing Director will work with all stakeholders to drive campaigns and ultimately sales. This position is entrusted to execute campaigns, projects and ideas to increase the bottom line, while staying in budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all marketing for the companies and activities within the Marketing Department
  • Lead the department in creating advertising campaigns, marketing plans, and public relations under the direction of the COO
  • Provide and coordinate content to promote events and drive sales
  • Pitch ideas and take the lead to execute those ideas
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with Operations, Sales, Development and Customer Service Departments
  • Oversee the company's marketing budgets and billing
  • Work with the department's staff accountant to ensure payables and receivables are accurate and timely
  • Work with advertising agencies quickly and effectively to keep campaigns and project moving forward aggressively
  • Create and publish/distribute all marketing materials in line with marketing plans
  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns on a weekly and quarterly basis
  • Manage and improve social media, customer retention platforms, and ads on all channels
  • Plan, prepare and execute digital and traditional marketing campaigns with assistance from the marketing staff
  • Monitor and report the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
  • Create a wide range of marketing materials, while ensuring brand continuity
  • Work closely with the photographer and designers to come up with creative campaigns
  • Maintain effective internal communications between the staff and the COO
  • Maintain relationships with non-profit organization and consider strategic partnerships and opportunities
  • Plan special events, including: Grand Openings, DJ nights, concerts, charity events, news events, etc.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts for media buys
  • Ensure accuracy of marketing content
  • Interview and vet support staff and vendors
  • Scout and hire artists and freelancers to create unique content to drive the brand forward
  • Protect the brand by enforcing standards and guidelines
  • Ensure the brand is represented to the highest standard on all channels and platforms
  • Provide copy and technical writing for any projects needed by the company
  • Assist Merchandising and Sales Department with any needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Directly supervises non-supervisory employees in Marketing Department

Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Intimate understanding of traditional, digital and emerging marketing channels
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and spreadsheeting proficiency
  • Professional judgement and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges within the company and marketing landscape
  • Working knowledge of trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, photography, videography (internal training and promotions), copy writing, production, etc.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on process development
  • Ability to think logically, critically, and work well under pressure
  • Responsible for brand and communication management
  • Refined customer service and phone skills
  • Desire to lead and mentor staff

Education and/or Experience:

3 years management experience

5 years working experience in related field

Bachelor or Master's Degree

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a variety of knowledge relating to the industry.

  • Microsoft office products
  • Gsuite console
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Extensive ability to manage Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat ads
  • Knowledge of CMS and CRMs
  • Understanding of SEO implementation and strategies
  • Excellent writing skills

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office environment while sitting at a desk for extended periods of time. Some travel will be expected to company locations for work, meetings, and conferences.
